Communicating via emails is becoming one of the most popular online activities. Mobile marketing in particular is taking off especially with start-ups and companies who want to connect with the younger generations. This is a new area that currently isn’t too congested with competition, but that is changing fast. So those who want the largest share of the pie need to hurry. That being said, not all emails are created equal and mistakes happen. So let’s talk about some DOs and DON’Ts that will help make your mobile marketing campaign a success!
Let’s go back to the basics – if you want something to grow, you need to feed and water it right? Well the same goes for your email list. So what are you doing to improve your list? You can go with the trusty ways of pushing for better search, more advertising, increased social presence. But the results are always more visitors to the site but not necessarily more revenue.
Given that different email programs will show your HTML email in different ways, it’s always a good idea to carefully check your campaign. Once you are constructing your email campaign, you will see it in a browser preview. When you actually send it out however, that exact same email will be seen in any number of different ways. For example – Desktop email apps such as Outlook or Apple Mail, web based email such as Gmail or Hotmail and more and more on smart phones and devices like an iPad.
The email you sent could be rendered differently in an email client versus a browser, and it might look differently in Outlook than it would in Gmail. And as if that isn’t enough, there are certain web based email platforms that actually work differently depending on the browser you access them through. What should you be looking out for? Well, the kinds of dissimilarities you may see could contain padding and margin deviations, spacing, background pictures not showing up, CSS being overlooked and much, much more.
Customers can now reorganize cells horizontally within template blocks from our template builder. This can be done with any templates that were built with the template builder. The ability to reorganize cells allows greater flexibility with customizing your templates. For example, you can now easily move an image from the right to the left within a block of your template. Junk mail – it’s evil and we all get it. Almost every website out there has a link concerning “email abuse”. But what does “email abuse” even mean? It occurs when unwanted spam is sent, such as third party ads, offensive content and even threats via email. When the recipient reports the email as spam, the sender receives an abuse complaint. The process that alerts senders about the abuse complaint is called a Feedback Loop
In the Feedback Loop, the ISP of the person receiving the email reports the complaint back to sender. The Feedback Loop process is very important to you as a sender, because it will directly affect how your emails are delivered in the future. The more complaints you have, the less likely your email is to land in inboxes. Chances are that your email will go to the junk folder next time.
